Eastern Washington University is home to multiple sports. From Fall to Spring, Eastern has a sports event waiting for you to attend.

Football
EWU's Football team played its first season in 1901 and is currently coached by Aaron Best. The Eagles have called the red turf known as The Inferno home since being built in 1967. The Team has had 14 playoff appearances and belongs to the Big Sky Conference.

Basketball
The Men's EWU Basketball team is welcoming first-year head coach David Riley this season. The Team made its first appearance in the year 1903-1904 and has had 19 head coaches. The men's basketball team made it to the NCAA Tournament last season and were also the Conference tournament champions.
EWU women's basketball team began playing Division 1 in 1982 and made their first NCAA appearance in 1987. The team is currently coached by Wendy Schuller.


Volleyball
The Women's Volleyball team is led by head coach Leslie Flores-Cloud who is now in her fourth season of coaching. The Team is currently 11-13 and 7-9
Hockey
Eagles Hockey Club plays in the PAC 8 conference and is also part of the American Collegiate Hockey Conference Division 2. The Team has won the NPHC Championship in both 2016 and 2018. Currently, the team is coached by 1993 EWU graduate head coach Brad Baker and Assistant Coach Jay Oien

Field Events
Eastern Washington University has both Cross Country and Track and Field.
The Cross Country team is coached by Sam Read.
The Men's Track and Field team is head coached by Stan Kerr
The Women's Track and Field team is head coached by Marcia Mecklenburg
